We, like you, have been concerned with the heart wrenching, ever increasing reports on the news slamming God’s face to the ground. The reports of fraud, embezzlement, and unethical practices of organizations, “so-called” ministries, and their leaders, in recent years, have been increasingly prolific.
Broken Chains Ministries, with the leadership of our board members, does everything in its power to keep our standards above and beyond reproach. As a result, none of our leadership team, including Pastor Cody and his wife Heather, receive any salaries for their work in the ministry.
All of the work we are involved with is done on a voluntary basis. This includes the time taken out of volunteers’ schedules for weekly pick-ups and delivery of donated items from community partners and sponsors.
Broken Chains also has a very low financial approval/accountability limit they have established that helps protect the funding and resources donated by individuals, businesses and organizations to the ministry. This means that no finances can be spent on the ministry above the $300 self-imposed limit without the knowledge and agreement by those on the board.
Broken Chains strives to maintain values of integrity and accountability when it is needed most. Our accounting, bookkeeping and taxes are done locally by Klumbach & Associates. Furthermore, we strive to pass on a standard of respect and gratitude to our donors and continuing partners; in the ongoing practice of how we handle your donations.
