Monthly Newsletter – September 2019

Grant Sondrut, of Eagle Scout Troop 951, completed his project of collecting 175 lunches to feed the needy in Las Vegas and delivered them to Broken Chains to distribute. Pastor Cody and Heather delivered them to Pastor Joe at Fellowship of God. Pastor Joe has several halfway houses and they are always thankful for food items.

We want to thank Kevin Chapman for all he does for Broken Chains. He alternates preaching with Pastor Cody, leads worship with a beautiful voice, and is the all-around person who fills in wherever and whenever needed!

Monthly Newsletter – August 2019

At one of our Wednesday night outreaches last month Pastor Cody spoke on baptism and one of the homeless people in the park, Irene, told Pastor Cody that she wanted to be baptized. So we told her to be at the park the following Sunday morning and we would pick her up, take her to church with us and Pastor Cody would baptize her.

Monthly Newsletter – July 2019

On June 8th local Girl Scout Troop 220 (led by Jada) personally delivered 200 sandwiches to Broken Chains. The troop saved their money and made the sandwiches themselves to provide meals for homeless people in Las Vegas. We want to thank Charles and Judy Hopkins for all they do for Broken Chains. They volunteer each and every Wednesday at the park and Judy cooks once a month for the outreach. They go out of their way to lend a helping hand wherever it is needed.

Each month during the school year students earning "community service time" make sandwiches for Broken Chains. We want to thank Rich and Kelly Schiegel for all the help they give to the ministry. They volunteer every Wednesday night at our weekly outreach in the park. Rich helps set-up and break down the sound equipment and Kelly helps with cooking and serving.

Monthly Newsletter – May 2019

One of our "2 Lunch Tuesday" schools, Vandenburg, donated a van full of hygiene items to Broken Chains. The seats were full, the back was full. The van was overflowing with toiletries!!
