IREM Takes Us On For Another Year as their 2018 Charity!

IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) has taken Broken Chains on for another year as their charity for 2018!!

IREM is an international force of 20,000 individuals united to advance the profession of real estate management. Through training, professional development, and collaboration, IREM supports its members and others in the industry through every stage of their career.

Pastor Cody gave a short message at their February 14th luncheon meeting; telling all that the IREM members contributed to Broken Chains over the year 2017 and outlining plans for 2018.

We want to thank Susie Clinger and IREM for their continuing support! It is greatly appreciated!!

Other Highlights

New Bible Study at Charlie & Judy’s

Thursday night, February 15th, we joined a twice-monthly Bible study at Charlie and Judy Hopkins’ house. Charlie cooked catfish that his friend had caught, along with a lot of great side dishes.

The study that we are doing is called “Culture Shock” and delves into the massive negative changes that have happened to our culture in the United States in the last fifty years, that are completely non-biblical. It is very in-depth and very interesting.

If you live in Las Vegas and are interested in attending, please contact Judy Hopkins at (773) 870-4052 for more details.

Morris Chapman’s 80th Birthday Party

On Saturday, 2/24, we were privileged to attend the 80th birthday party for Morris Chapman. Morris is a well-known gospel singer and writer, and is truly loved by all who know him. All of his large family and many long-time friends were in attendance. It was truly an awesome evening, never to be forgotten!!

Morris is one of those “one of a kind” people who demonstrate God’s love for all mankind through his beautiful, inspirational, and thought-provoking songs. If you are interested in listening to some of his music, below is a list of some of his albums:

Live Worship with Morris Chapman, Voice of Praise, Bethlehem Morning, Come Away, Gospel Praise, and many more, which you can find on the internet.

This evening was one to be remembered forever – both Heather and I went away feeling blessed beyond measure and treasuring the memory of this man, who personifies the Bible phrase “well done, my good and faithful servant.”
