As we have mentioned in several past newsletters, IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) adopted Broken Chains as their 2017 charity. Our daughter, Susie Clinger, is in management at IREM and it was due to her efforts that we became a 2017 charity project of IREM. Also, members of IREM come to our Wednesday Homeless Outreach once a month and they all have been most generous with donating items needed for our pantry, along with hygiene items and socks, socks and more socks.
In April of this year IREM held their charity golf tournament and at their July 12th luncheon, Pastor Cody was presented a check in the amount of $6,461.90.
We want to thank all management and members of IREM for their over-the-top support of Broken Chains!!
NOTICE: Due to health issues, Pastor Cody will be going thru some medical testing. So we will remain closed for the month of August. We will be back at the park on September 6th. Please pray for Pastor Cody!
On July 23rd, at Hope Church, Pastor Cody baptized Myieshia Montague. If you remember from last month’s newsletter, David, was baptized. Myieshia is his daughter. And his wife, Raquel, plans to be baptized next month!! Congratulations Myieshia!!
David, Raquel and Myieshia participate at our Wednesday Homeless Outreaches and attend church each Sunday with us.
Everyone is invited to attend our weekly Bible study and BBQ. It is held at Myron Levitt Park (the old JC Park) on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. The park is just north of the intersection of Eastern Avenue & Sahara avenue. If you would like more details including a Google map, please visit our website contact page. Come and join us any Wednesday!
